Soooo heyya all

it been a while again however this is due to a really awesome vacation for 2 weeks in Spain.

Now that i got back i decided that i will redo my blog, new layout possible new domain that kind of thing. It should be up within the week, I'll write my story of Spain there as well and keep you up to date with my life hopefully abit more regularly. More about it later when its up and running!

I passed anatomy and now I got all my credits in second year except module A!!! :D = summer vacation.... here I come!! :D

And tomorrow parents and Aukje are coming which is awesome, then going to Holland on Friday Spain on Monday for 2!!! weeks... just Alberto and me with drinks being lazy and enjoying life.... cant wait!! <3

World Cup 2010

Those who knows me will know that Im slightly interested in the World Cup 2010 football... Im following the tables and a daily dose of a game.... however I am SOOO tired of all of these guys dropping down from a hit/touch and then hugging a body part that was not even hit..... GROW UP

Frustrated? no not at all...

Anyway besides that everything is going alright.

Tomorrow got that really stupid anatomy brain exam that I am not motivated to study for...great successs!!

Wednesday parents are coming and Aukje as well!! Who placed 16th on the acceptance list for medical school in Holland... way to go!

Czech

Czech.... SUCKS

yup I had my czech exam today, I had not studied for it, as I am focusing on anatomy and just went there to see what would happen... however... I PASSED!! How I did it? no idea xDDD I did not cheat, and I cant say I passed with big margins xDD but a pass is a pass and I do not have to think about second year czech again.

There were quite a few third year students at czech today catching up with second year czech.... and ough... thats gotta suck, as we actually have to be able to speak a little czech when we go to the hospital next year...

But who cares.... I passed my czech exam YAY, now up to the final 2 exams.... anatomy *drumroll*
I am doing the brain, and tomorrow I'm going to give macroscopy a try... so wet speciment, but since my teacher is REALLY strict I have no expectations except another night with way too little sleep xD all good thus and nothing out of the ordinary ^^

Life as a medical student at this moment SUCKS xDDD

Its exam period, last week I passed 7/7 exams which is awesome, now I 'only' have 3 exams left. 2 out of those are the ones I have been looking forward the least... but thats ok if I pass i'll be SOO happy but its far away yet from that, tomorrow its czech exam first, and I have no expectations for that what so ever.

BUT in 2 weeks exactly I will be in Spain, its the only thing that keeps me up and running atm.

Elsa was here last week, and I had a wonderful week, thank you! totally have to do that again. was great fun to just have another girl living here again and just do the girl talks... missed that <3 was great

Next week hopefully on friday I will be in Holland... but more about that later when it feels I will be done with my exams and shisz

Well back to Some brain studies... = VERY boring and hard and alot :(

200g dark chocolate 70%
1.5 dl whipped cream
3 Tablespoons honey
40g unsalted butter

1. chop chocolate in fine pieces put into bowl
2. boil cream and honey
3. when starts to boil put the cream and honey over the chocolate, stir
4. chop butter in pieces
5. put butter into bowl, stir
6. cover with foil, let it harden over night/fridge
7. after it has hardened, create balls with spoons/hands
8. roll in kakao and put in fridge for 1 hour before serving.

Soo update on school stuff: I passed module D!!! its a module integration of First aid, nursing, and medical ethics. the exam was very easy not a biggy but still exciting cuz we didnt know how demanding it would be but all good.

Then after the exam I met up with Elsa, who landed here in prague yesterday, and will be staying with me until friday... fun fun :D Really great having visitor here even though I have to study alot but its fun nevertheless :D

Anyway thats all for now, tomorrow I have a histology exam wish me luck im going to need it :(

Sooo today I finished 3 physiology exams... feels good? HELL YEH!!! :D

Now I just have a few exams left, the most scary by far is anatomy but we'll see how that goes next week, its going to be a challenge.

For this week.. tomorrow module D, which is supposed to be pretty easy but we'll see, then friday hopefully histology (thats teh plan) and after that I just got anatomy and czech left.... and F*** czech xD lol xD all good

Tomorrow Elsa is coming! :D Going to be great.. except the part where the whole apartment looks like a bomb exploded but well what, good thing I still have a few hours before she arrives :D All good basically.

Im really counting down now to the summer vacation, I could REALLY use one to get away from studies... to just forget about stress and school for 5 sec would be SOO Nice, but well thats life I have module A to think about over the summer.... got to kick ass in it in September, going to be tough.

Anyway today enjoy victory of physiology.... get some hours sleep as I only got 2 hours last night xD then study module D, clean apartment and see if I get some sleep tonight.

Soo life is really boring lately,

Studying... study study.. watch tv... study oh and ... study... yup studying my ass off for some exams, might do physiology tomorrow but we'll see how I feel at the end of today. All good otehrwise

A week back I booked tickets to Spain!! yeh Spain! Im going for 2 weeks in July to see Alberto, first 1 week around madrid/siguenza area and then 5 days on Mallorca.. I cant waiiittttttt going to be so much fun

Before that though study... xDD need to finish all my exams except module A before the summer... feel the pressure ^^
Elsa is coming next week though, so we'll see if I'll find some time for her and do some fun stuff, all good all good

Sooo,

Today I thought I would tell you guys abit how my boring days look like.... wake up around 7.30-8.00... read newspapers watch my tv shows until 9-10 ish then go to school or outside running arrends if I have them. Then back home. take out my study books,try to study until at least 20.00. sometimes that works ... sometimes it dont xD Then usually some computer games and ofcousre talk to Alberto <3

Overall boring days, but efficient nevertheless.
Yesterday I had an exam I knew I was going to fail... however... I didnt fail YAY one thing less to worry about! :D

Also this term, we have to register for compulsory optional courses for next year... compulsory optional? how does that work you ask...... well it works :P basically We HAVE to choose some courses.. but which courses are optional... doh :P

So I chose
Endocrinology, urolithiasis, apoptosis and spinal deformities, disorders and treatment.... especially the spinal disords I am really looking forward to. It is so nice we finally get some choice in our studies, even though the choice is still limited its still our choice and makes it a little bit more fun!
It is not 100% yet that I will get these courses, but with abit of luck... ^^

Today I got +50 adult points as well... I for the first time executed my right as a Dutch to vote... yay xDDD 21 years old and finally got to vote...
The only thing I have not done yet since I turned 18 (so beocming a legal adult) is buy a car/house and ofcourse the marriage/kids thing which will have to wait a few years xD
But otherwise,.... I got a bank account, my drivers license, I rent an apartment, furnished an apartment! got stable longtermrelationship, moved out and even abroad! went to Systemet and voted now :D go me!

Well thats all for today, I should head back to tha brainz which is what I am studying for the coming 2 weeks. I have abit mixed feelings about it. I mean it is the brain, sitll quite a mysteries organ to us humans which makes it very intersting, on the other hand... its very complex and not easy to study and able to imagine how it works.

Well brain stem... here I come!

Soo ok no new layout yet but will do when I have time/energy w/e :P

Last weekend was SOO nice, Alberto was here the whole weekend as moral support for my module B exam, and it was SOOO great having him here. We didnt do very much just being and for me mainly recovering from the last few weeks, which I very much needed. We did see Robin Hood though, and I thought it was pretty alright, I know the critics all say it is crap but I enjoyed it... wasnt Avatar but definitely alright.

Today I realized I have exactly 1 month! until my vacation starts. So 4.5 weeks of hell to finish the remaining exams. sucks I still have alot left would be awesome to be done now and go on vacations xDDD but but that is life.

Ah and congratsz to my sister, who finished her IB exams :D and I welcome her to a world of IB free spare time... yup there is such a thing.. Enjoy it sis! :D

That is all for now, Im going back to planning my coming 4.5 weeks until vacations...

The one exam that has been hanging over my head for the last year.... is gone... forevaaahhhh and now I have finally sort of catched up to my classmates.... kind of... since they have or rather should have started with studying for module A, which I havent .... doh :P but Im sure I wont be the only one doing it in September so all is good

My exam was pretty shit tbh, xD I didnt know very much of the things they asked, and was abit gone at times. but well a pass is a pass right? at least thats what I try to tell myself,... and that grades dont matter... just for my ego xD

but well. today is goign to be a day off, Alberto is asleep I should try to get soem sleep as well but just cant turn myself off like that... what is it with guys who can jsut close their eyes and be gone.... for me its like "close eyes.... think think think more bad thoughts .... open eyes" sorta sucks, but I havea feeling that tonight im going to be half dead....

Since I am the only one in my whole class who has something to celebrate I will probably not go out tonight, I think we are going out for dinner though. And tomorrow hopefully some classmates finish some exams so we can go for a drink.

This weekend.... plan :
Study czech, maybe start with some anatomy... catch up with some sleep and spend well deserved time with Alberto <3

Also last week I started playing abit with photoshop again, atm Im making a new header for this blog but I have no idea how its going to work out xD we'll see I guess :)

SOooooo today I passed 1/4 subjects for module A... yay one step on the way xD

Feels good though to have chemistry done, its not a hard subject/exam so its jsut silly but takes a few hours to study it nevertheless :) but well done is done and here I am... at home.... wtih take away enjoying an hour of no studying then back to module B... today there was WAY too little module B gotta catch that up.... only 3 days left now *scared*

Soo this morning... it wasnt any fun to get out of bed... I couldn't fall asleep yesterday evening so was lying awake and thinking bad thoughts... just sucked...

Soo this morning I woke up really groggy and unhappy and decided I would take it easy this morning so I watched a movie "De hell van '63" (2009) or for your english peeps "The hell of '63" it was a very!!! good movie I recommand it to those of you who like De Elfstedentocht. about the really cold touch winter in 1963 when they decided to have the elevencity tour in Friesland, where 10.000 people participated and only 69 finished.

So after this movie I decided it was time for me to get my ass out of bed and study abit.... and now... I have 30 min until I have to go to school for doing a chemistry exam.... I have no idea how it is going to go... it can go good... or REALLY bad... I dont like these exams though. The teachers take you into the classroom you get a topic can prepare it.. then they take 1 by 1 and ask questions and everyone is there listening to you. so embaressing if you dont know your shiss. but well I just try to think positive like its just school... but lets just face it...... it is embaressing and it does suck xDDDD

Ok I know I suck.... lets just face it, Im not made for blogging, but here goes another post nevertheless.

I have been REALLY!!! busy last few weeks studying my ass off most of the days, ofcousre the usually bad days are there but ey there are great days as well xDDDD

Got Module B exam coming up on Thursday and Im SCARED to death for it. There is SOO much there is still to study and I just dont have the time or energy, but I will have to find it somehow cuz I plan on passing it........... really hope I will xD

After it I have like 20 more exams, but will think about that after Module.

Everything is good otherwise, weather is rainy and I love it, Alberto was here last week which was awesome, and maybe! is coming next week again, at least I hope he is..... but we'll see :)

Otherwise nothign is happening, the same thing day in day out. and soon!!! vacations.
I got a spot at Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala for my summer practice (nursing practice) at a surgery department, really looking forward to that :D

Anywhoooo gotta go back to my very exciting (NOT) chemistry ;)

Sooooo School has started.... unfortunately,
Last week since we got back from Holland, I havent done that much, which felt pretty nice, but then again I am here to study so I better start!

1.5 weeks ago Alberto came to Prague, together we rented a car and drove to Holland and back to pick up some furniture from my uncles :D yeh our living room is starting to look nice, remind me to take pictures of it!

The car broke down twice, first the exaust which was supposed to be a 'little' hole according to the guy we rented it from but uhm..... little hole?

But well we got it repaired and then the car worked just fine. However on the way back from holland 300 km before prague we were to switch driver so we parked, about to switch when Alberto realized the clutch wasn't working properly.... so there we were in the middle of the autobahn on some parking wtihout being able to move... YAY..... we waited 5 hours for someone to pick us up.

All in all was an adventure thats for sure, but I got my furniture and we got home safe!!!

Today school started, got my first class in 40, however I think its a boring class so im not that excited yet xD we'll see ^^

On friday im going to Spain though! :D its the last chance before school really starts so... why not? :D its going to be great fun I cant wait! :D

Helluuu

Sooo finally back with another entry. sry it took.... well many months xD but now today I finally got back to Prague.

The summer has been pretty good have to say, it started good with a weekend holland + Alberto was alot of fun. then back home and wokr and work and work and more work :O. But at some point that took a little break and Alberto came and visited me for 9 days :D we went camping and doing some tours to different places and just had a good time. then I had to work for about 3 more weeks and then we end up where we are now... 31st of August 2009.

My school doesnt start until late september/october but as probably many of you know I failed my final module exam and have to redo it before new year start. so here I am panicking about next week already... YAY xD

Anyway that was all for me for a little while, I will probably have more later, the plan is study a full week then next week exam + might go to Holland if I can find some car that I can borrow/rent anyone??? and pick up some furniture together with Alberto. So that should be exciting

Well, here I am saturday noon sitting home trying to study but phhh not going so well thus instead... lets write a post

I dont have much to say though, just that my family is coming tomorrow and I'l be taking them to some restaurant here, any tips?

School.... yeh everyday I'm reminded of it... just as well I guess but sometimes its pain in the ass.

Our exam period is starting again, last week I passed my final latin test with a B (thus no more latin for me!! :D ) today I passed a subchemistry test (2/3 we have had now) with a C but ey its a pass :) tomorrow I got czech just a small test though, and on thursday its the second big anatomy test :S (abit scared for that but oh well lets hope for the best) Next week last biology test hopefully... well as you see... it just continues like that for another 1.5 months really. After those weeks I hope to have passed all of my exams and I can focus on my module exam, lets hope for the best

Thats school lately really... Its been a while I have seen Alberto now, but school first and since exam period is coming now I have to try to focus on school abit :) easier said than done.

However I have been planning for the summer, and I think that I will be going to Holland late June for a weekend then go to Sweden and work my ass off xDDDD not so much fun but at least a change to studying :) I will probably take a week off though :) go camping or somethign with Alberto maybe even go to Spain for a weekend lying on the beach (yup sounds horrible.... NOT) xD

Thats all I have been up to lately, On sunday I will get family here for a few days, they are visiting prague rather than me but Im going to meet up with them thus that will be fun. :D

Ok, I suck again wiht updating regulary. but here I am again updating a few things.

Spain with Alberto was great as always, we didnt do so much which was great in it self, we took some bike rides and ate a bit of jamon. was nice to just get away abit.

1 week after I came back from Spain Alberto showed up here in Prague, and spend 8 days here with me :D it was like a 'normal' week no exciting things like concerts and stuff, however this does not mean that we were sitting quiet and doing nothing.

He was here for my b-day which was great, sorta. We made a b-day party/dinner for my group, which was very nice we were standing in the kitchen for a whole dya and the food dissappeared in like 45 min (if not faster) but it was great. Alberto made tortilla and migas and gave paella an attemt. I made my pie chocolate cake desert and salad, I also added some polarkakor and other swedish stuff :D

Was very nice party, tnx all for showing up and for allll the kitkats and other things *coughs* :D

Anyways I dont have so much more to say than what I just said, I'll post a pic of what we do at school sometimes,.... lately and soon its just going to be tests thus I need to remind us of what is fun and what we get to do!

What else do I do here in prague (besides studying): well the other day I made this it just lacks.. abit (all) colour xD and also the glas thing over the cockpick (I need to paint before I can put it there, we'll see what it will be in a few weeks when I got time to paint it :) (if I ever will)

Time passes

Yeh yeh alot of you people have been poking me about my blogg but ey ive been busy and updating it once a month isnt THAT bad.

Anyways alot has happened, in the last blog I said that 2 weeks would be first parent-alberto meeting, and I have to admit it went ALOT better than when I met his parents. Speaking english helps alot! First time they meet was at Club Architectu and I think that was a success was abit weird in the beginning but went fine just normal talking about spain future business economics (dad and alberto that is) a specific joke that me and my mum had a very good time about (no offense dad :*) well all in all fine.
After that dinner we kicked my parents back home and me and Alberto went out to Petra's b-day party, which was a good time, we got home waaayyy too late but I had a good time :)

During the coming days we ust took it easy spend some time together studied abit played wow abit, on sunday evening. Alberto made dinner for us, spanish torilla with jamon!!! and spanish wine with some cheese to it. Was REALLY great dinner, was cozy and 'gezellig' ^^
Im not quite used to that much wine yet but was really nice, should totally!!! repeat that some day. I think my parents definitely appreciated it as much as I did and im sure they wouldnt complain about more spanish wine and jamon xDDD

Well after that nothing exciting happened :) just took it easy, for my coming b-day my parents bought me a toaster thingy and a printer!! tnx alot for that! both are well in use now!! :D

Then a few boring school weeks, alot happened, for instance Sivert left and went back home yesterday :) He is coming back though in september for which we all are very happy :D

Annd I'm going to Spain on Friday! :)
Last sunday Alberto told me "Hanneke how would u like coming to spain on friday-sunday" I was like : "nah too expensive to much time blah blah blah" he: "it wasnt a question I already booked" thus I concluded that I have the BEST!! boyfriend ever!! :$ Im really looking forward to get away abit and have a mini vacation even though I'll study abit ofc ;) but mainly im looking forward to Alberto, sun, bike and relaxing =) thus yeh will be good time I think :)

We are abit spoiled when it comes to that really :) now this weekend im going to spain and the week after Alberto will be here in prague for a whole! week I cant wait he's coming for my b-day and I hope it will be ncie weather and great times,

Brachydactyly

What is so cool about studying medicine... well u get to know unuseful information related to human bodies, I guess some useful information as well (lets hope that useful>unuseful in this case)

But its great that this early in my studies I can relate to some personal 'disorder' .. well disorder is abit serious but its somethign that isnt normal.. hence disorder I decided.... This I happen to learn during some embryology class where we were talking about development of our limbs... and hence we also mentioned disorders and underdevelopment of certain limbs or parts of them like fingers and toes.

In my family there runs something called 'brachydactyly' so far I have 2 cousins and me who have it... we have talked about it well mainly oked about this but never really knowing what it was... :D but now I can proudly say I have Brachydactyly type D.

Soo what does this mean... well basically one of my thumbs are screwed up. its smaller and thicker and looks abit like a small big toe :P in medical terms cuz it sounds cool: "This type of brachydactyly is characterized by short and broad terminal phalanges of the thumbs and big toe"

My cousin who has this as well like me, had to take some x-ray pictures the other day where the thumb is clearly visible and I got permission to put it on here.

Well thats all about my studies for the time being... somethin abit more fun is that I was in Madrid last weekend :D visiting Alberto again :D

Was a couple of wonderful and really great days. And I have to admit the best thing we did was trying his motorbike ofc he was driving me behind but its still a thrill going 120 km/h on the highway on just a bike. :$ We got to borrow a jacket and a helmet from a friend of his for me :D I looked really cool ofcourse! And well to be really honest :$ he taught me to drive abit in the garage very addicting but alot!!! of fun :D

The rest of the weekend we stayed at his parents house which was about 1.5 hours drive away from Madrid in this really cute calm Spanish village called Siguenza, had a couple of great days there the weather was really nice, when we got back to madrid later was walking outside in just a t-shirt in the sun. Amazing. and really depressing having to go back to Prague later where its just cloudy and dark and rainy but well. thats life ^^

Well that was relaly it for me :) sry for the late update , last note: Parents coming next wednesday and Alberto coming in 9 days as well.. and yup its gonna crash hence first time they get to meet him. will be really exciting but nice ^^

Exams.

Sooo finally exams are over, last wednesday I had my last exam and as Im a lucky bastard really I happen to pass all of them in my first try xD.

Feels great to be done, and I hope my classmates are done soon as well so we can go and celebrate!!

However unfortunately this doesnt mean I have a little vacation as im abit behind my anatomy stuff which I have to catch up now xD but no biggy I just have to find some motivatoin to it. But just that xD

Soo here I am thinking about what i want and need to do.
The plan for today is quite simple, I have to start applying for summer jobs, and as I want to work in a hospital if possible I need to start early, but if anyone has any contacts in some hospital plz!!! write me an email or something :D I need all the help I can get xD

This 'vacation' is really centered around one thing, Alberto, he is coming here in 6 days :D for 4 days I cant wait!! to see him again will be lots of fun. then Im sort of really thinking about going to spain again as well the last weekend before school starts. should be lots of fun. :D ah well we'll see havent decided everythin 100% yet :)

Anyways people I gotta run off to some arrends.

Sooo... Im sry that its been 3 weeks since my last post. I realize I was then still in Madrid and I havent written so much about that amazing nor about the period since now xD.

Alot has been goin on. Madrid was AMAZING I'll post some pics here as well so u can see for yourself :D
Well going home to Prague SUCKED... I lost my suitcase hence I was wtihout clothes for 2-3 weeks. Then we had 3 weeks of school still, and today the 'exam' period started. Its not really the exam period as I had most of my tests last week but well the exam period lasts 3 weeks, we dont have any classes and its mainly there for retakes.

Soooo Madrid:
it was amazing. We stayed at a very decent hotel, Alberto had planned several activities but we improvised alot.
We went out for lunch and some dinner with his friends, very nice people, most of them spoke good english some of them didnt but it was fun anyways ^^ One Night we went out to see Cirque du soleil http://www.cirquedusoleil.com it wassoo great :D totally worth it :D we got pretty decent seats as well :D was really great :D. Also we went to a arabic spa thing :D got 30 min of massage and stuff.
The bad part of Madrid was just one thing really. I didnt get my suitcase, it got lost somewhere on the way xD thus we had to go cloth shopping a few days to get the neccesities but other then that it was amazing.

I also got to meet his parents. And well imagine the most horrible meeting you can imagine when meeting his parents situation, the embaress silence just awkward... well this was IT. seriousy xD Mainly due to language problem, they dont speak english and I dont speak spanish.. and Alberto was a horrible!! translator xD he translated a whole story his mum was telling in 3 words xD not good for building a conversatoin xD. But well I was there for oldyears evening his mum had made this really amazing good dinner :D i think they were all surpriced I actually finished thefood I put on my plate xD Alberto kept going about that I didnt have to be polite and eat, but the truth is that it was great. Actually ALL food in spain was great, but my favourite is still Jamon. Which is raw ham and its just delicious!!!

Well here are some random pics from Madrid, we did alot of other things like going to Toledo which is this really great cute town an hour away or so from Madrid, also went bowling with his friends. was alot of fun basically!

The cutest bookshop I ever saw, that is everythign you see of it, its mainly out in the open in the middle of Madrid center.

Egyptians brought this to middle of Madrid, in a very cute park there, it felt abit out of place in busy Madrid, but it has style.

Someone *coughs* Alberto *coughs* emptied half of the popcorn bucket before!!! the cirque du soleil show started xD.

Now life continues as normal, I have passed all my exams so far! and had Biochemistry exam yesterday will get results of it on wednesday, along wtih my last test that I have on wednesday, all in all. If im lucky I pass everything on first try and have a nice 2 week break :D but then again doubt thats gonna happen ;) but can always dream right? :D

Well thats about it :) ah last note is that Alberto is ocming again in 12 days :D i cant wait :D and my parents are coming soon as well :) Especially for my mum its very nice, will be first time she'll see my apartment and my room that she helped wtih alot! :D It will be great

Anyways I hope to be able to update this blog abit more often, but until then!

So one week left in prague until I go home to my family and in 2 weeks to Madrid.
Today I went shopping and looking for some christmas presents but its still really pain in the ass I just dont know what to buy. I mean how am I supposed to know what other people would like. ESPECIALLY!!!!! if they dont send a wishlist *note its a SUBTLE hint for those who havent send that list......u know who you are.... *gives THA look**

But well :) I got some things though and a content feeling of doing something useful on a friday :) I doubt i'll end up doing so much the rest of the day other then daydreaming MAYBE! even open my books for abit. but unlikely hehehe lazy I am :$

Ah yesterday I brought the cake I baked to school cuz I was just not able to get rid of it myself... and here is the recipe for those who want to know:

150gr butter
3dl sugar
1dl cocoa
2 tsp vanilla sugar
2 eggs
2dl wheat flour

Truffle:
1 ½ dl whipping cream
2 tbsp butter
200 gr dark chocolate
½ dl roasted pinjekärnor

Turn oven to 175.

Melt the butter in a pan. Take it from the plate.
Stir in sugar, cocoa and vanilla sugar.
Stir down an egg at a time and finally the flour.
Spread mixture in a greased and broad circular form with removable edge, approximately 24 cm

Bake in the lower part of the oven for about 20 min, the cake should still be a little loose in the middle.

During that period boil up the whipped cream and butter in a saucepan. Take it from the plate.
Chop the chocolate, stir down and let it melt. Let the truffel half solidify in the refrigerator about 1 hour. Spread it over the cake, sprinkle over pinjekärnorna. Let stand cold at least 1 hour before serving.

Serve as small cake pieces, its very filling! Good luck! ^^

Soooo another great great weekend has passed. Another year of aging or just 2 more weeks left for going home and to Madrid. Time.... it just is.

Yesterday I dropped Alberto off at the airport leaving me alone again in big city Prague.
This weekend made me think a little about stuff and I realized I loved this weekend and the effort I put in to put a smile on someones face. It was just great. (Im abit sry about the part where I got a REALLY bad cold and had to stay inside instead of enjoying the x-mas market but well it was greaty anyways :*)

Basically this is the result of the effort:

Now I have 2 weeks of school left before I go home back to Sweden. Going to be a 2 quite intensive weeks but niec weeks because I have something to look forward to and its totally worth it :) It will be nice to be home for abit tbh :) getting some proper food, have mum complain abit and generally have a good time with relaxing but unfortuantely also some studying.

I wanted to finish this post with saying Congrats again to Alberto for gaining another stupid human-invented year of aging ;) and that his grey hair and cane may be postponed yet one more year ;):*

First of all I have to say CONGRATSSSSS to all who passed necropsy today!! :D did fine job! :D

For me today has been really weird day like the last few days, so... pointless some how. well today I had a test which I btw probably failed but details hehe :) however the last week we have had a subject called "patients needs" and well it is as it says about what patients would need in a hospital stay or maybe after recovery etc. Well it is really basic crap but we also got to visit some czech patients which was really weird considering I dont speak a word czech but there we went talked to them and went home. All in all quite a waste of time for someone who has been working with patients before. thus yeh the last few days been a waste of time. Problem is that these classes are mandatory thus I had to go, but at least I got some credits from it which I'll need to pass this year later on :)

Other then that, the coming few days are going to be abit weird as well.. today got home aroun 3.30 took a looong shower and went to studying well still am I suppose ^^ . then clean up my room.. its really!!! messy again *sobs* then find some good recipe to bake some cake maybe ^^
Tomorrow going to school for abit more interesting subjects I suppose ^^ then shopping and bake that cake in the evening (hopefully)! :D

ANNDDDDDD then saturday picking up alberto for another unplanned great weekend! :D cant wait

Got my first real credits yesterday, I passed latin test and im done with latin for this half year, Feels nice but ah well still got alot of tests and crap left ^^

Other then that I dont have much to say really. Got some test coming up on thursday, and im as far away from prepared as I could be xD but details

On Saturday Alberto is coming wieeeeeeeeeeeeee just 3-4 days left :D cant wait :) its his b-day as well then, well on the 8th really but I hope to celebrate it then. I got him something nice for his b-day and well the coming 2 years he wont get anything as it cost me a rib out of my body (ok really poor translated saying from dutch xD but well sry xD)

Yesterday I was in town and went to the market in old town square here in Prague. The market will be there for about another month, and I found a little booth with a dutch guy selling stroopwafels!!!! dus van 't weekend even een warme stroopwafel ophalen :D Also got my flatmate hooked up on them :D they are great :D

Why are people so stupid sometimes, ok quite often but I mean with big things.

I am sure that we all have read about the terrorist attacks lately in India, that costed almost 300 people their lifes just because some people wanted to proof something that for most people will not make sense anyway. Its crazy.

Here I am becoming a doctor to try to safe peoples lifes or at least make their life situation easier. And when I have saved 10 people, there is some crazy mofo killing 300 others. At this rate we will have killed eachother faster then we can say Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.

Ah well,
Here in Prag everything is ok, its getting real cold here now, but other then that its fine, school is alright I have a few tests next week but nothing serious and everything has sort of gone back to life before necropsy. its nice

Another big news I would say is that Alberto is coming again in 6 days :D I cant wait, this means that tomorrow I will have to go to town to buy some presents and stuff but its nice :D there are lots of christmas markets now, which will be there for a few weeks, I love the atmosphere at markets, Everyone screaming "buy this buy that" and the people around me walking and if its dark its great with all the small lights and ah well :P wanna experience it? come to prague its very cozy town! :D

Have a nice sunday people as the countdown to Christmas finally has started. Yup it is the first advent, I guess alot of people will go to church today... me? I havent actually found an english speaking church yet, and as my czech sucks I think I will skip it for this year. Well I have candles at home thus I'll just lit one of those ;)

It is.... hard, tiiring, exhausting, xtremely difficult, and yet we all do it and we all try our best and make the best out of it.

I have finally finished the necropsy course and a couple of really tough weeks, it should calm down a little now, well still lots to do but not the same pressure. Today was abit weird day, like I woke up around 6 maybe and felt abit bad about not getting up earlier ^^ I went to school where I ended up disturbing some classmates because I was soo nervous and scared, I have nerver been this scared of nervous in my whole life for some test. But it turned out fine for me, I was lucky with the questions the teacher asked but luck one needs from time to time.

Anyways I have heard that the necropsy course with its examination is the toughest thing one does in winter semester year 1, thus go me I can go sail out the rest of the year.... or not xD
Lots of other tests and stuff xD but details :)

After the test today I went shopping. :O! yes i know HANNEKE went shopping. Bought pair of gloves as it is getting cold in prague, also got some good-to-have things at home like wrapping paper and tape. Then food shopping. and then got another lab coat cuz necropsy smells formaldehyde hence my current labcoat is abit.... nasty to say the least xD

After shopping Iwas trying to get home but for some reason a journey that should have taken maybe 15 min took almost 50 min because someone is stupid and cant think xD but I got home safe and sound even treated myself with a magnum icecream (i just had some craving for it,... was weird)

Plans for rest of the evening:
Not going any schoolrelated work
1) Shower
2) Nap/computer/prison break!
3) Make decent meal of food!
4) Go out to some pub.

Since we had necropsy course together with the czech students, hence they have reserved some pub for us to go and have a beer and celebrate abit. In normal cases I wouldnt go, but this is a good opportunity to get to know some czech people around here, especially at school. We have already met some students but always jsut briefly etc :) hopefully it will be worth going there :)

Ah well we shall see :) I'll keep you up to date!
Now that shower maybe clean my room abit xD its still a mess after making a mess for 2 weeks wihtout having time or energy to clean it xD

Its snowing!!! not much but a little , crazy now christmas is coming real close, just.... a month! :O wow :D I cant wait, it will rock being back home then spain and taking a little break from all the studying though Im pretty sure that we have to do alot of studying then as well but at least its not the same pressure as now.

Atm we have necropsy course, which sucks abit but its interesting however very tiiring, Since tuesday we have been working on necropsy non stop. Basically we are learning every structure in the lower and upper arm, how the muscles work what nerves are attached to them and arteries/veins. Its cool but alot of work, hehe its what I will do the whole weekend ^^ but its good i'll be glad when it will be over though :) and hopefully I pass the exam on tuesday, it would safe me alot of stress and high blood pressure ^^

Awww, it stopped snowing :( the roof is barely white *sigh* well im sure I'll have my snow soon anyway because its reealy shitty cold in prague lately, like cold enough for hat and gloves (the gloves I dont actually have yet xD)

I have done absolutely nothing this weekend, it was very nice, I needed that. The coming 2 weeks are going to be hell, as we got necropsy and about 100s of other tests, ok maybe not that much but still *im scared* :)
Nah will be fine :) im glad I took the weekend abit off though, now I got new energy to work with and to kick schools ass :D

I did a little bit of work but not enough but thats alright :) last weeks work amount and this week will compensate for that ;) give and take isnt it ^^

Tonight some friends came over had dinner together, was really nice ^^ they made some bread bullar xD last saturday some other friends came over made also food for us xD I like our friends xD I have to admit its more Sunniva's contacts xD but still xD i like them xD Tnx guys xD hihi ^^ only thing I contributed with was wine (very important!!) and fanta (most important ofc :$ ) xD but was really nice :) next time I'll make some pie mum's recipe ofcourse!

Today I had a czech test, that is all! I did today.. ah and I wrote 2 flashcards for embryology! :D imba I am! :D
Today I also got back my chemistry test and ofcourse I passed lol xD ok maybe not ofcourse as I only studied 3 hours for it but details xD haha 82% and I needed 60% thus not that badxD

Ok things are good again,
I dont exactly know why though, I think mostly because I feel the pressure has released a little (at least until next week started) and its a great feelin.
I passed an exam today that Ive been fearing the last few days, and its great, feel like I can conquer the world if I wanted to :D hihi =) tomorrow got the last test for this week, its nice :) just czech though, should study abit but.. orkkkaaaa xD

Yup new week has started, and I have decided to work really hard again. hehe last weekend I was very effective on saturday but I dont think I even opened my books on sunday xD ah well that happens :) I had a really bad cold, as Sivert and Sunniva dragged me out to some party the night before though I didnt wanna go to xD Ended up abit bored and went home around 12. xD hence too late in bed too, stress + bad weather and resulting in Hanneke tired having a cold and 0.0000!! motivation to study. but thank god today thats alot different. Ive studied from 3 until 9 /flex. and now and bored and tired of anatomy and I hope sooo much I'll pass it tomorrow xD lets hope so :)

Other then that, Life is great, I realized I actually do like med. school. (ok sometimes anatomy is PAIN IN THA ASS) but I think I'll survive that xD, I love!!! my room getting used to it now. even cleaned it on sunday!! (yes mum, vaccuum clean, picked up my clothes, ok not dust but Im sure that can wait until next week hihi) I love Alberto and he's coming here sooon again. and argh 2 days until we've been together for 2 months wieeeee :D

Well Im having a good day at least, there is no better way to end a day with a nice meal of pasta (yup I just cooked! :O *shock horror*) and going to bed content with the afford I put in today.
I think we should experience those days everyday. Thats what makes my life good atm :) that and 'call and hang' but thats for some other time!

Day in day out, it wouldnt be so bad if we didnt have to think about the stuff we have infont of us. it sucks abit but just the feeling after a day hard work is so nice though. Afterwardshave some time to write abit in the blog talking to Alberto generally not doin anything for 30 min and then bed :) it rox :)

Today was alright day, well I overslept which sucked abit but was ok :) atleast I got to sleep *whistles* then school then home and physiology presentations and stuff but its so nice to have one thing done now and just... the rest to go xD

Nah its all good :) Im really!! enjoying my new furnished room. played abit of piano and guitar today and I just love how my room looks like... and the bed.. and the chair rox! :D (especially when ure done with school and one can just sit back in it xD its sooo comfortable xD hihi thank you sweety xD hihi)

Ah well its getting bed time, tomorrow a bright new day with new subjects new adventures and maybe a new depressing blog xD

Gotta love med. school. I just passed a (for me) big exam about the bones of the lower limb. But as always after passing a test one is happy, until I for some reason talk to the teacher about doing another test the next day, and hence the euphoria of passing the test just dissappeared and is replaced by the depressing realization of "fuck, I dont know anything for tomorrows test, guess what im going to do the coming 8 hours..."

Gotta love this =) BUT one always says. ok IF I pass this test, THEN I can be happy and not think about anything for abit and just be glad I did somethign good. until.... I look in my calendar and see what Ive got next week... yup.... more tests and a presentation I havent prepared yet.... *depressed mood on again*

Ok I just HAVE to write something now that it has gone 3 days since last I wrote... Alot of things happened and it seems that time just wayyyy too fast.

Soooo I picked Alberto up from the airport showed him the apartment, then we went out in the evening, he took me out to some restaurant and then I showed him my favourite pub/club. Was really wonderful. On Sunday we went to ikea to get me a chair :$ /shy he carried the heavy box back to the apartment (yes I know he is really really great) xD I got some more candle holders and I bought some coffee thing as I know that someone is an addict and if I want to get him out of bed I better start learning how to make coffee xDxD

Then....... monday....... I thought I had sleep-in until like well.. I had planned until 13.30.... then a classmate calls at 7.45 (I know ... unhuman hour :S ) and it turns out we have an anatomy lesson at 8.30.. which no one knew about... really great.. it sucked alot, me rushing to school and stuff and argh. but its alright I had the best perfect weekend I could imagine, and it was great :) thank you.

This week alot has to be done again though... I just got home. and tomorrow I have a test about the bones in the lower limb. Bones and muscles, also on wednesday another anatomy test. But things should go alot smoother now that I got the red Sobota atlas of the human body books from my parents (early xmas present) its really really really great and helpful! =) but still alot of work... xD but its worth it and I cant wait until I got these tests done and passed both of them and can look ahead again until new things like physiology... more anatomy maybe some chemistry as well :D wiee :)

Anyways peeps I shall write something more interesting tomorrow or the day after we shall see ;)

Finally THE day has arrived that my boyfriend is coming, its funny how 2 weeks before I was "ok distance sucks" and now its like "ARGHHHHHH HATE distance" while its just 2!! hours before I get to see him again :D

I just finished cleaning, vaccuumcleaning, doing laundry and getting breakfast. and now off to the airport.

A home

What exactly is a home?... the walls/roof, furniture, the people?

For me I hadn't thought about that until I got home today... Yesterday my dad arrived with my furniture, we didnt have time to put anything up yesterday and I had school since early this morning. Thus when I came home today and entered my room first thing I thought "WOW, this ROCKS"
While I had been at school my dad and brother had put up the desk, bookcase, bed, bedsofa and unpacked some stuff that my mum had made ready for me. I was absolutely speechless, then I started unpacking more and more stuff and I kept being amazed and touched especially when I unpacked a certain foto of someone who means greatly to me.

Thank you sooo much mum dad and anyone else who made this room my home! it looks really amazing I hope to post pictures of it soon! But before that I want to show and share it this weekend with my family and Alberto.

Thus now I live with my 2 flatmates in this great apartment in prague, and finally I got a furnished bedroom with bed and desk to study at, ah and a great keyboard that a wonderful friend lend me! thank you!! Now I can share this apartment with someone special during weekends and my family and friends now always have a place to sleep at if they decide to visit prague.
This is my new home.

Welcome to my new blogg

I decided to change layout and style to actually make it look nice, and maybe give me some motivation to start writing more often xD

Alot is happening lately.
I have past 4 weeks of med. school, and its still very exciting and alot! to do. I have past alot of tests already but still way too many left xD.
Anatomy is the toughest subject so far, alot! of new terms and words to remember especially in latin!. We have started with bones first the arms, I passed that test already. Now the legs (have that test next week) and next week we are going to start with the skull.
Doesnt seem so hard but trust me... there are alot of little bubbles and grooves on those bones, our teacher we have is quite demanding as well . we have to know which muscles are attached to them and the main ligaments and certain nerves/vessels. Its both good and bad to have alot but now that anatomy test period is coming up... I think we are all panicking alittle xD.

Thats school...
now the fun part:
Im getting furniture today!! My dad and brother are coming down here, I just called them and they are atm in Germany and will arrive here around 7 tonight. Pretty cool.... Im looking forward to see them and get a real desk and bed and sofa and arghhh to furnish my room xD hihi
Bad part as always is that they will take up some of my study time but its totally worth it!! :D
They are leaving on friday again morning, thus I have friday evening and saturday morning for studying until...... Alberto is coming :D he's gonna stay over until monday I really cant wait until I see him again!! gonna be sooo great hihi wieeeeeeee, I hope its gonna be abit nicer weather then its now but we shall see =) im sure it will be a nice weekend anyways xD

I just came home from shopping lots of food as they are all gonna need food and stuff... even bought some watermelon gums for someone............. xD alot ot think about lately, trying to all make it fit my schedule, but I think I got it under control (I hope xD) well .... I better xD I dont wanna fail too many tests. its not a problem to fail some test but it would be just to get over with everything and then do fun stuff.... ok no time for that, but at lesat being able to continue to the next chapter... there is always gonna be some next chapter *sobs* hehe ^^ thats life...
